Some time between 4pm on Friday 26 March and 9.20am on Saturday 27 March, a black single axel trailer carrying a white IBC water container was stolen from a property in Wyck Rissington.
The container was later recovered near Broadwell, Moreton in Marsh.
A small white van is believed to have been involved in the theft.
Officers are appealing for anyone who may have seen a small white van towing a trailer carrying an IBC container on the morning of Saturday 27 March to contact police.
