Police are appealing for witnesses after a report of a serious sexual assault in Cheltenham yesterday.
Officers were called yesterday evening around 6.20pm (11 December) to a report that a teenage girl had been seriously sexually assaulted in Montpellier Gardens.
Police are in the early stages of the investigation and forensic inquiries are taking place in the local area today.
Investigating officers have been reviewing CCTV footage from the area. They are now appealing for anyone who was in the area around the time, and may have witnessed anything suspicious to come forward.
