Officers renew appeal for witnesses to incident involving machetes in Cheltenham

Investigating officers continue to appeal for witnesses and video footage in relation to a serious incident in Cheltenham yesterday, Thursday 12 August.
At around 3.50pm police received a number of calls about an incident taking place in the area of Gloucester Road which involved a group of men who were seen in possession of machetes.
Emergency services responded and a man aged in his 20s who had suffered wounds was taken to hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
Three men aged between 18 and 21 were subsequently arrested on suspicion of assault in connection with the incident. Two of these have since been released on police bail while enquiries continue.
The investigation is ongoing and officers are still appealing for anyone who filmed what took place or witnessed it and has not yet spoken to police to come forward.
Police are also wanting to hear from anyone who has dashcam footage, doorbell camera video or CCTV which may assist the investigation.
