A member of staff at a shop in a retail park in Cheltenham was assaulted earlier this month and police are appealing for information.
The incident happened at Gateway Retail Park on Tewkesbury Road (A4019) on Friday 14 July.
Police were called with a report a group were inside one of the stores and throwing boxes around.
The group, which was reported as involving several children and two adults, then ran out of the store and one of them was carrying a stolen item.
This happened between 6.20pm and 6.50pm.
A member of staff was assaulted and racist remarks and threats were also made towards other members of staff.
The group then left in a blue Ford Focus.
Police are keen to hear from anyone who saw what happened or the vehicle involved.
