A man has been arrested, charged and remanded in custody following a swift investigation by the Constabulary's Operation Vanguard Team based in Cheltenham.
It is alleged 22-year-old Jake Ahmed committed a knife-point robbery at a shop in Hester's Way in Cheltenham on Sunday (23 October).
He was subsequently arrested by Vanguard officers on Wednesday this week, charged and then appeared in court yesterday (Thursday).
Ahmed, of no fixed abode, was remanded in custody and is next due to appear at Gloucester Crown Court on 25 November. He has also been charged with theft offences.
