Man charged with burglary offences and remanded to reappear at court

A Cheltenham man has been remanded in custody to reappear at court after being charged with burglary offences.
Stephen Sexton, 39 and of Humber Road in Cheltenham was arrested yesterday (Wednesday) after officers from the Cheltenham Neighbourhood Policing Team were conducting enquiries into a burglary which had been reported.
Sexton was subsequently charged with attempted dwelling burglary with intent to steal and dwelling burglary and theft.
The charges relate to a proactive arrest attempt and the recovery of suspected stolen items from Sexton’s possession.
Sexton appeared at Cheltenham Magistrates' Court today (Thursday) and has been remanded to appear at Gloucester Crown Court on Friday 6 March.
