A man has been charged in connection with an incident in which a laser beam was shone at a police helicopter.
Joel Martin, 24, of Stroud Road, Gloucester was arrested in the early hours of yesterday morning (Monday 4 May) and taken into custody for questioning.
He has been charged with shining or directing a laser beam toward a vehicle or aircraft, and bailed to appear at Cheltenham Magistrates' Court on 2 June.
The helicopter, which belongs to the National Police Air Service (NPAS), was conducting a search in the area at the time of the incident.
No-one was injured.
