A man has been arrested in connection with an incident in Stroud after it was reported a man secretly filmed a girl on his phone.
On Saturday (10 June) police released CCTV images of a man officers wanted to speak to in connection with the incident which happened the previous day at Coffee #1 on George Street.
It was reported that a man had committed the offence of upskirting, which involves the taking of a picture under a person’s clothing without them knowing.
When he was challenged he left the shop. The victim was left very distressed and shaken by the incident.
Following the appeal a 46-year-old man from Stroud was arrested on Monday (12 June) in connection with the incident.
He was questioned and later released on police bail while an investigation continues.
Investigating officers are still keen to hear from anyone who witnessed what took place or has any information which could assist them.
