Five men were arrested in connection with a burglary in Cheltenham yesterday (Thursday) following a co-ordinated team effort by police.
Police were called to St Anne's Terrace at 3.55am following reports that homeowners had woken up to find their house had been broken into.
It was reported that a number of electronics including televisions and games consoles were stolen as well as a handbag and bank cards.
Following a co-ordinated investigation by officers, a number of individuals were identified through CCTV enquiries before address searches were conducted.
The men who are from Cheltenham and aged 18, 19, 22, 37 and 59 were arrested on suspicion of burglary and remain in police custody today (Friday) pending further enquiries.
A number of items that are believed to have been stolen were recovered as part of the arrests.
Anyone who has information on the burglary and hasn’t yet spoken to police is asked to call 101 quoting incident 35 of 10 September.
