The family of a young man who died in a collision in Brockworth last week have described him as "the life and soul of the family".

Tyler Durn, who is from Brockworth and known to many as Ty, died on Friday 19 May following a two-vehicle collision.

The incident, which happened around 10.50pm on Ermin Street, involved a Suzuki motorcycle, being ridden by Ty, and a van.

Ty's family have now released the following statement: "On Friday 19 May our very loved and gorgeous son Ty was tragically taken from us. This has left a huge hole in our hearts. Ty is the life and soul of our family, and he is so loved and missed. We’ve always been so proud of him.

"Family life was very special and important to Ty. When he wasn’t with his daughter he would always be with us. He would sit upstairs at the end of our bed every night when we were putting his baby brother to bed, looking at motorbikes and cars chatting constantly about them, then going on our McDonald's and Taco Bell evening trips.

"There was never a day that Ty didn't say 'mummy, what are we doing today', as he loved spending time with us all. He is the most loving, respected, funny and loyal 18-year-old boy.

"His passion for motorbikes and cars is second to none. He loved riding to bike meets with his friends and had plans to do his own Streetfighter bike.

"His work life is important to him too. His dedication to his job is phenomenal and he enjoyed every moment spent with his work family. He is always exploring his knowledge on cars.

"He loves his family so very much, his younger brothers and sister, especially his nug nugs, Freddie, as they have an inseparable bond. He is the most amazing daddy to his gorgeous Clementine-Rose, who is his world too.

"Ty is a beautiful, caring, loving son, stepson, brother, daddy, nephew and grandson, who we love, adore and miss so very much.

"He is a popular boy who has a wide range of friends and is best friends to many, especially his daughter's mum.

"You are so very loved and missed my boy. Until we see each other again soon."
