A 12-hour custody extension was granted by a Superintendent this afternoon, Friday 6 January, for a man who had been arrested on suspicion of murder.
Detectives investigating the murder of an elderly woman in Chipping Campden have been given until tomorrow afternoon, Saturday 7 January, to continue questioning a man in connection with the incident.
Police were called to High Street in Chipping Campden at 12.10am this morning where a woman in her 80s was found with head injuries. She later died from her wounds.
The Major Crime Investigation Team is continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident and anyone with information which could assist is asked to contact police.
