Police cordons are in place in Clarence Street, Gloucester following a serious incident there in the early hours of this morning (Sunday 26 January).
Two 19-year-old men suffered wounds in a suspected stabbing shortly before 2.25am and two people were subsequently arrested.
One man suffered serious injuries and was taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital for treatment. He remains there today.
The second suffered an injury to his hand and was also taken to hospital.
A 29-year-old man and 19-year-old woman were arrested in connection with the incident and remain in police custody this morning for questioning.
Police are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident at this time.
Any witnesses, or anyone with information about the incident who has not yet spoken to police, is asked to call 101 quoting incident 45 of 26 January.
