A man has been arrested and stolen items recovered after a business owner alerted police to an intruder who had entered their premises overnight.
Police were called to Cheltenham Promenade shortly after 1.50am this morning, Wednesday 8 December, after a business owner's security system alerted them to a man who had entered their premises and was searching inside.
Officers were in attendance within minutes of the call coming in and detained a man as he was trying to run from the back of the building.
A bag of suspected stolen items had been dumped nearby and was recovered as part of the investigation.
A 23-year-old man from Cheltenham was arrested on suspicion of burglary and remains in police custody at this time.
Anyone who witnessed suspicious activity or has information they feel may be relevant is asked to contact police.
