Armed officers arrested a man on suspicion of possessing a bladed article in Hardwicke this evening (Friday 3 November).
The arrest was made and a knife recovered outside McDonald's on the Hardwicke roundabout just before 5.35pm.
It followed reports of a man in dark clothing with a knife behaving suspiciously in the Church Lane area.
The arrested man, aged in his 20s and from Gloucester, remains in police custody tonight.
