Police in Cheltenham want to trace an electric bike rider who fled the scene of a collision in Cheltenham shortly before 12.50pm yesterday (Friday 7 July).
A teenage male passenger on the bike suffered a fractured leg after it crashed into a white Renault Master van near the Ginger & Garlic restaurant on the High Street. He was taken to Bristol Children's Hospital for treatment.
The rider, described as a male wearing grey joggers with a black line down them, red t-shirt and blue top over his head, was injured but picked up his phone and left the scene on the e-bike. He was last seen close to the Bottle of Sauce pub on Ambrose Street.
Officers need to check his welfare and speak to him about the collision. The rider or anyone who can identify the rider is urged to call police on 101 or complete the following form, quoting incident 237 of 7 July: www.gloucestershire.police.uk/tua/tell-us-about/cor/tell-us-about-existing-case-report/
Anyone who witnessed the collision but hasn't spoken to police is also urged to come forward.
The man who was driving the van was uninjured.
