Police are investigating a report that a woman was sexually assaulted in Gloucester yesterday (Monday 20 June) and are appealing for information.
Officers are keen to hear from anyone who was travelling along the A38 in Norton and witnessed a dark coloured/black car parked in a layby.
Police received a report of a sexual assault between 5pm and 6pm in a wooded area in the vicinity of the layby, which is near the New Dawn Inn pub on Tewkesbury Road, Gloucester.
Investigating officers are appealing to motorists who had been in the area around this time to make contact. They are also particularly keen to hear from anyone who travelled on the road and has a dashcam.
