Officers are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage of a serious injury collision which happened on the A40 yesterday morning, Thursday 2 March.
Police were called to the A40 at Sherborne shortly before 5.15am with a report of a three vehicle collision between Burford and the junction with the A429 roundabout near Northleach.
The collision involved a white Volvo articulated HGV lorry, grey Mazda 6 and black Vauxhall Insignia.
The driver of one of the vehicles, a man in his 20s and from Cheltenham, sustained serious injuries and was taken to John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford for treatment. He remains there and his next of kin is aware.
Road closures were in place throughout the day and reopened late last night.
Officers from the Roads Policing Unit would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision and has not already spoken to police.
Additionally, anyone with dashcam footage or information they feel may be relevant is also asked to make contact.
