Police are appealing for witnesses to a serious collision which took place in Cheltenham yesterday morning, Monday 13 December.
Emergency services were called to The Yarnolds in Shurdington at 9.50am with a report of a collision involving a pedestrian and white Citroen Dispatch van.
The collision took place close to the village post office and the pedestrian, a man aged in his 60s, was taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital with serious injuries. He remains in a stable condition at this time.
The driver of the van, aged 42 and from Gloucester, was arrested on suspicion of driving whilst under the influence of drugs and has since been released under investigation.
Investigating officers are asking anyone who witnessed the collision and has not yet spoken to police to make contact.
Officers would also like to hear from anyone who has dashcam or CCTV footage of the incident that they feel may be relevant.
