Appeal for witnesses to collision which lead to police pursuit

Police are appealing for witnesses to a collision and subsequent pursuit which took place in the Forest of Dean last Thursday (19 November).
A Vauxhall Tigra was driving along Gloucester Road in Coleford at around 2.55pm when it crashed into a police van before failing to stop for officers.
A pursuit ensued and ended on Bream Avenue in Lydney at around 3.05pm when the Vauxhall was stopped.
The pursuit saw the Vauxhall travel along Newland Street in Coleford, Clearwell and the B4231 Bream Avenue and investigating officers are appealing for witnesses who saw what happened or were driving in the area and have dashcam footage.

The driver of the car was arrested and has since been charged and remanded in custody in connection with the incident.
Louis Bloomfield, 41 and of Gloucester Road in Coleford is due to be appearing at Gloucester Crown Court on Monday 4 January charged with causing serious injury by dangerous driving, driving whilst disqualified, dangerous driving, driving without insurance and failing to stop for police.
