Police are appealing for witnesses to a collision involving a pedestrian and car which took place in Bishops Cleeve on Tuesday.
The collision occurred outside Cleeve School on Two Hedges Road at approximately 8.25am as a pupil was walking across a pedestrian crossing when they were caught on the leg by a light coloured BMW.
The driver got out of his vehicle to ask if the pupil was ok to which he responded yes and drove away before anyone was able to take his details.
The boy fell over during the collision sustaining wounds and was taken to hospital for treatment.
Investigating officers are asking for the driver of the car or anyone with information to come forward so that details can be taken.
The BMW is believed to be silver or white and the driver was described as being an Indian man who was in his 30s or 40s.
