Officers are appealing for witnesses to an assault which took place in Gloucester this morning (Sunday).
Police were called to Eastern Avenue at 6.20am following reports that a man had been assaulted.
Officers attended and the man has been taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital with facial injuries.
Two men, both aged 19 and from Gloucester, have been arrested on suspicion of assault and remain in police custody at this time.
This is believed to be an isolated incident with no wider threat to the public. A number of scene guards are currently in place whilst forensic enquiries are conducted.
Investigating officers are asking anyone who witnessed this taking place or has dashcam/CCTV footage to get in contact quoting incident 54 of 21 February.
