Police are appealing for witnesses to an assault in Winchcombe last month which saw racial abuse being aimed at the victim.
It was reported that the incident took place both outside and inside a shop on North Street on Tuesday 17 August.
The victim stated that two men entered the store and purchased several items before turning to leave. The victim was standing near to the till when one of the men barged into him while walking past, causing him to be pushed against the till.
The victim turned around to speak to the man and a verbal altercation began. He did not sustain any injuries as a result of the incident.
The men then left the store before shouting racial comments from the street which were aimed at the victim.
Two men, aged 18 and 34, have been arrested in connection with the incident. They have since been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
Investigating officers are continuing to gather information about what happened. They are asking anyone who witnessed the incident or was in the area at the time to come forward.
