Police are appealing for witnesses to a non-stop collision on the B4215 Ledbury Road, Newent on Saturday night where a pedestrian suffered serious injuries.
The incident happened at around 8.15pm, just past the 3 Shires Garden Centre, where the teenage boy was struck by a small dark coloured car.
The vehicle did not stop at the scene and left in the direction of Dymock. Investigating officers are appealing for the driver to make contact with police by calling 101 and quoting incident 440 of 29 February.
The teenager suffered head and leg injuries and remains in Southmead Hospital in Bristol.
Anyone who witnessed the collision and has not yet spoken to police is asked to call 101 and quote incident 440 of 29 February.
Anyone who saw the lead up to the collision, or was in the area at that time and might have relevant dashcam footage is also asked to call police.
