Two men have been arrested on suspicion of sexual assault of a child and investigating officers are now keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident.
On Wednesday morning (22 February) two men approached a teenage girl on the 62 Applegates bus which was travelling between Berkeley and Dursley.
It has been reported to police that at around 8.50am two men sexually assaulted the teenager and later followed her through town after exiting the bus in Dursley.
The victim, who is 17, was then able to get to a place of safety.
Following the report, enquiries have been ongoing and two men, one aged in his 20s and one in his 50s, were arrested on Friday (24 February) on suspicion of sexual assault of a child.
They have since both been released on police bail with conditions which include no unsupervised contact with any child aged under 18.
Officers are now asking for anyone who was either on the bus and saw what happened, or who has any information which could assist the investigation, to come forward.
