Officers are appealing for witnesses after a man was assaulted by another man while on a bus at the end of April.
Police were called with a report that a man who appeared to be drunk had shouted swear words at the victim and punched him in the face while getting off the 64 bus from Stroud to Gloucester.
This took place while the bus was stopped on Westward Road at around 3pm on Wednesday 26 April.
The offender was described as being white, around 50-years-old, of a fairly slim build and had dirty blonde coloured fair hair. He was wearing sandy coloured trousers and a fawn coloured top.
Investigating officers have been unable to identify the man and are now asking anyone with information on his identity to come forward.
