Officers are appealing for witnesses to an attempted knifepoint robbery which took place in Gloucester earlier this week.
Police were called to Cromwell Street in the city at around 12.30am on Wednesday (20 December) with a report that a group had tried to rob a man of his phone.
It was reported that the man was walking to an address in the area when he was approached by three unknown males who asked for his phone.
The man refused and tried to get past the group when one of them pulled out a dark handled knife and threatened him with it.
The group were described as wearing grey and black tracksuits and all ran off in different directions following the incident.
Enquiries are ongoing to identify those involved and officers are asking
anyone who was in the area at the time and saw what happened but has not yet spoken to police to make contact.
Officers are also asking members of the public to be vigilant in the area and report any suspicious activity. They are also keen to hear from anyone who has mobile phone, CCTV or dashcam footage of the incident.
Information can be provided to police online by quoting incident 17 of 20 December.
