Police in Tewkesbury are appealing for witnesses after a teenage girl was followed by an unknown man during the early hours of this morning, Friday 3 September.
It was reported that a 16-year-old girl and her friend were walking along Barton Road at around midnight when they were approached by a man who asked them to go with him.
The victim continued to walk home before later seeing the man sat on a bench opposite Morrison’s. She crossed the road and was again followed by him before he took hold of her arm and again asked her to come with him.
She was scared by this so ran away and was not followed further.
The man was described as being white, in his 40s, of a slim build and had an eastern European accent. He had stubble, was wearing a baseball cap with dark clothing and riding a white/silver bicycle.
Investigating officers are currently conducting CCTV enquiries, however they are asking anyone who witnessed what happened to please get in contact.
