Officers in Tewkesbury are appealing for information after a teenage boy was assaulted last week.
Police were contacted with a report that an assault had taken place on Green Lane in Ashchurch at around 5pm on Friday (17 December).
A 16-year-old boy was walking along the lane with a friend when they were approached by a group of three youths.
It was reported that one of the group started to hit the victim with a blue bat before chasing him. The boy was able to get the attention of a nearby car and the female driver took him home.
The boy sustained bruises to his body as a result of the attack.
Officers would like to speak to the woman who helped the boy as she may have information which can help with the investigation. They are also appealing for anyone who witnessed what happened to get in contact.
