Police are appealing for witnesses after a 50-year-old man was assaulted in what is reported to have been an unprovoked attack in Cirencester.
A man and a woman were walking near to Ali's Kebab Van on Tetbury Road when an unknown man randomly punched and head-butted the victim.
This took place at around 11.20pm on Saturday 29 October and left the man with a cut to his head. He did not require medical treatment.
A number of people were in the area at the time of the assault and officers are asking them to come forward as they may be able to assist with the ongoing investigation.
As well as this, officers would like to hear from anyone who was present and may have filmed the incident on their mobile phone.
No description of the suspect has been provided.
