Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage of an incident in Cheltenham earlier this week when a man in a car approached a lone woman.
The woman, who is in her 20s, was sat at a bus stop on Honeybourne Way at around 9am on Tuesday 15 March when a dark grey vehicle drove by and the driver beeped the car horn.
The man, who was in either a Ford Focus or Fiesta shaped vehicle, reversed the vehicle back in order to speak to her. Through the open passenger window he then said to the woman to get into his car.
She walked away in the direction of Waitrose and the motorist followed in his car. She then hid and the motorist drove his vehicle toward Tesco and the woman called police.
The driver was described as being black, aged in his late 30s or early 40s, of a stocky build and was bald. He was wearing a black knitted jumper and there was an air freshener hanging from the rear-view mirror.
Police are appealing for anyone who has any information which could assist the investigation or if anyone saw the vehicle and may have relevant dashcam footage to make contact.
