Officers are appealing for information after fire extinguishers were sprayed over the floor and pews and property broken at a church in Cirencester last weekend.
The incident happened at the Holy Trinity Church in Watermoor Road between 10am and 4pm on Saturday 15 July.
Unknown offenders entered through the unlocked church door before ripping off the communion rail, snapping the vicar's staff in two, pulling a picture off the wall and discharging the fire extinguishers. Items were also placed around the church including flags in the organ.
Anyone with information about the incident is urged to contact Gloucestershire Constabulary through the website, quoting incident 349 of 15 July: https://www.gloucestershire.police.uk/contact/af/contact-us/us/a-crime-that-has-already-been-reported/
