Police are appealing for witnesses in relation to a collision in Cheltenham which involved a pedestrian in the early hours of this morning, Saturday 6 November.
At around 2.45am a 29-year-old man was walking along Hyde Lane, between Swindon Village and the Newland traffic lights near Prestbury when he was struck by a car.
The vehicle was a silver Mercedes-Benz E-Class which was travelling in the same direction. The driver stopped at the scene.
Emergency services attended and the pedestrian was found to have sustained fractures and lacerations and was taken to hospital, where he remains.
Investigating officers are now appealing for any witnesses who were travelling along the road at the time of the incident or anyone who saw the vehicle or pedestrian prior to the collision to contact police.
