Police have arrested two men on suspicion of assault following an incident in Gloucester in the early hours of this morning, Sunday 18 May.
Officers received a report that two men were attacking another man with baseball bats on Rectory Road, Matson, at around 12.50am. The suspects then dropped the bats before leaving the scene.
A man in his 30s was taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital with possible fractures. He currently remains in hospital.
Police have arrested two men, a 35-year-old man and a 33-year-old man both from Gloucester, on suspicion of assault causing actual bodily harm. They remain in police custody at this time.
