A woman has died following a two-vehicle collision in Stroud last night, Thursday 12 June.
Emergency services were called following a report that a blue Fiat 500 and a silver Ford Fiesta had been involved in a collision on Cainscross Road at around 8.45pm.
The driver of the Ford Fiesta, a 46-year-old woman from Tetbury, was taken to Southmead Hospital in Bristol where she later died from her injuries.
Her next of kin and the coroner have been informed. Specialist officers are now supporting the woman's family.
The driver and passenger of the Fiat 500 were taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital where they were treated for minor injuries.
The road was closed while collision investigators examined the scene, but has since reopened.
Officers are now asking for anyone who may have witnessed the collision, or who has dashcam or CCTV footage which they believe to be relevant, to speak to police if they have not already done so.
