A 30 year-old man has been banned from the centre of Cirencester due to his ongoing anti-social and violent behaviour within the town.
Jake Farrelly, of Cirencester, was served with an Anti-Social Behaviour Injunction (ASBI) after it was granted by Cheltenham and Gloucester County Court on 20 December.
The injunction was bought against him by officers from the Cotswold Neighbourhood Policing team and Solace - a multi-agency team of officers from Gloucestershire Constabulary and local councils dedicated to tackling anti-social behaviour.
The injunction prohibits Farrelly from:
Farrelly risks arrest if he breaches any part of the injunction, which runs until 20 December 2025.
Inspector Simon Ellson from the Cotswold Neighbourhood Policing Team said: “Farrelly’s ongoing anti-social behaviour has been causing fear and alarm to those that work in Cirencester's licensed venues and their customers.
“This order was deemed necessary to curtail his behaviour and provide some protection to members of the public and I’m grateful to our Solace team for their efforts in securing this injunction.
“If Farrelly breaches the conditions of this order he will be arrested, returned to court and could face jail, and I would urge anyone who witnesses him in Cirencester town centre or committing offences to report this to police by calling 101.
“The Cotswold Neighbourhood Policing Team is committed to reducing anti-social behaviour and we will continue to seek similar orders against those who seek to cause harm to our communities.”
