A woman has been charged with manslaughter and neglect in connection with the death of a Gloucester care home resident in 2021.
Jane Barnard, aged 65 and of Longlevens, Gloucester is due to appear at Cheltenham Magistrates' Court on Wednesday (11 September).
The charges relate to when Barnard was a care worker at Wheatridge Court in Abbeydale.
A resident at the care home, 75-year-old Derek Davies, died on 8 September 2021 after he had been admitted to hospital.
Following an investigation by the Constabulary's Public Protection Unit, the Crown Prosecution Service authorised charges for the manslaughter of Mr Davies and ill-treat/wilful neglect of him.
