A 29-year-old man has been charged with robbery in connection with an incident at a shop in Walton Cardiff, Tewkesbury.
Adam Ward, of no fixed address, has also been charged with possession of a knife and he has been remanded in custody.
He is due to appear at Cheltenham Magistrates' Court today (Saturday 14 September).
The charges relate to an incident at a shop on Columbine Road at around 8.35pm on Thursday (12 September).
A second man, aged 31 and from Tewkesbury, who had been arrested in connection with the incident has been released on bail with conditions while enquiries continue.
