Incident Number: 238 of 8 March

Gloucestershire Constabulary is appealing for witnesses to an altercation which involved two men in Cheltenham last week.

At approximately 2.50pm on Thursday 8 March a fight broke out between the men on Regent Street. 

There were numerous members of the public around at the time and several people stepped in to try and break up the altercation.

Officers are keen to speak to those who witnessed the incident and would ask anyone with information to call police on 101 and quote incident 238 of 8 March.

Both of the men are described as white, one was of a heavy build and wearing a blue t-shirt and the other was of a slim build and wearing a long sleeved dark coloured top. 

A 34-year-old man from Cheltenham was arrested on suspicion of affray and has been released under investigation.
