Stroud officers are appealing for witnesses to a burglary from a shop in Stonehouse which took place on Tuesday 24 October.

The incident at The Co-op Food store on the High Street happened at around 6.05pm and saw an unknown male offender steal around £200 from a till.

It’s believed that the male entered the store, selected a chocolate bar and stood in the queue.

He paid for the chocolate and when the till opened he reached over the counter and stole the money before running out of the shop.

The offender is described as a white male of slim build with short dark hair.

The man in his 20s was wearing dark coloured trousers and a grey jacket with yellow lining inside of the hood.

Any witnesses to the incident are asked to call police on 101 or email 101@gloucestershire.police.uk and quote incident number 441 of 24 October.
