Three men have been arrested in connection with shed burglaries at Hardwicke allotments.  

At about 7.15pm on Tuesday, 8 August, Gloucestershire Constabulary received a report of burglaries in progress at the allotments, which are near to Quedgeley West Business Park. 

Officers attended and found three men in one of the sheds. 

The men ran away but after a short chase they were arrested and taken into custody.

A number of items were recovered, including a knife from a black sheath, a Stanley blade, a multi-tool and holder and a key on a keyring with a padlock. 

It is thought that up to 20 sheds may have been entered, some of which have been damaged.

Allotment keepers are being advised to check their property for damage, insecurity or stolen items.
