Incident Number: 247 and 290 of 8 March
Police have issued CCTV images following a series of distraction thefts which took place at multiple stores in Cheltenham and Gloucester.

Officers would like to speak to the man pictured in connection with the incidents.

On the afternoon of Thursday 8 March, a man visited three stores claiming that he had previously been in with his mother who had left either her walking stick or shopping bags behind.

He would ask members of staff to look for these items and would use this time to steal money from the tills of the shops.

The offender is described as a white man in his late 20s/early 30s who was wearing glasses.

He was around 5ft 9 inches tall, of slim build and had short brown hair.

Anyone who recognises the man is asked to call police on 101 and quote incident number 247 or 290 of 8 March.

Alternatively, call independent crime-fighting charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
