Gloucestershire Constabulary is launching a new recruitment campaign and aiming to welcome 50 new police officers to its ranks.
This campaign, which starts next Monday (16 January), aims to recruit around 50 new constables to help the force grow officer numbers to 1,075 between October 2017 and March 2018.
This latest campaign builds on the recruitment drive ran last spring and shows the Constabulary's commitment to ensuring there are enough officers to fulfil its responsibilities to the communities we serve.
The new police officer recruitment campaign is asking the public to consider joining the Constabulary if they wish to serve the people of Gloucestershire in what is surely the most challenging and rewarding career there is.
Deputy Chief Constable Rod Hansen said: "Ours is a proud Constabulary with a good reputation, good people and real ambition. Those we seek and those we choose will demonstrably have the qualities and character that we believe will enhance our standing. Appointing the right individuals to the office of constable is essential in helping us to achieve our vision and ambitions for the future.
"We will be emphasising in our recruitment campaign the importance of integrity and the need for all potential recruits to adhere to the College Of Policing’s Code of Ethics. We will expect them to ask themselves if they can live up to these fundamental requirements."
