A motorcyclist is in a critical condition after a crash in Kingscote, near Tetbury, yesterday evening (Sunday 3 July).

It happened at about 5.20pm on the A4135 near to the Hunters Hall pub and involved a grey Land Rover driven by a 61-year-old woman from the local area and a blue Yamaha motorbike ridden by 34-year-old Stroud man. 

The motorcyclist was airlifted to Southmead Hospital in Bristol with life threatening injuries and remains in a critical condition. 

The driver of the Land Rover suffered minor injuries.

The road was closed for several hours while police carried out their investigation.

Police are eager to trace any witnesses and anyone who saw anything is urged to call 101 and quote incident 345 of 3 July.
