Gloucestershire Police are warning pubs, shops and cafes to be on their guard after a man has been "scamming" a number of businesses in the North Cotswolds.

The offender has entered the businesses in Bourton-on-the-Water and Moreton-in-Marsh on 25/02/15 and ordered either coffee or half a pint of beer.  When payment has been made the offender has paid with a £10 note, and then tells staff that he gave them a £20 - in all cases he has been given an extra £10 in change.

At this time it is believed 7 establishments may have been victim to this offender.

He is described as a white male aged 40-50 years old with short black hair, speaking with a Liverpool accent. 

Police are appealing for witnesses, anyone who may have seen this man and what he was doing, to contact 101 quoting incident nos 323 and 400 of 25/02/15.
