Gloucestershire Constabulary were called to a road traffic collision on the A433 just before 1am this morning.

An 84 year old man was travelling from Tetbury towards Cirencester when he collided with the Thames Head Bridge and sustained serious injuries.  All three emergency services were called but sadly the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The road was closed for over five hours and re-opened this morning at 7.45am.
