A man has been arrested following the attempted knifepoint robbery of a 12-year-old boy in Stroud.

A 48-year-old man from Gloucester was arrested yesterday (Tuesday) on suspicion of attempted robbery and has been released under investigation.

On Wednesday 9 August in the alleyway leading from Stratford Park to Jack Russell Close a 12-year-old boy was approached by a man and threatened with a pocket knife.

The boy was unharmed in the incident and nothing was taken but he was very upset.

Anyone with information should call police on 101 or email 101@gloucestershire.police.uk and quote incident 274 of 9/8.
