Police were called at 4.36pm yesterday following a head on collision on the A429 near Kemble Enterprise Park.

The two cars involved in the collision were a black Peugeot 307 driven by a 26 year old man from Cirencester and a red Suzuki Ignis driven by an 82 year old man from Cirencester.  Unfortunately the 82 year old man was declared dead at the scene.

The driver of the Peugeot and the 76 year female passenger in the Suzuki were taken to Southmead Hospital, Bristol where both have undergone surgery and are now in a serious but stable condition.

Police would like to hear from any witnesses to the collision who can help them with their enquiries.  Please call 101 quoting incident number 321 of 14 November 2016.
