The family of a man who died in a collision on Saturday (26 November) have paid tribute to him.

Peter Wakeman, aged 37, from Gloucester, sadly died when the van he was driving left the B4070 near Birdlip at around 3.15pm.

His family said: “Tragically Peter was taken from us far too soon.  A much loved father, brother, son and grandson, he will be sadly missed by family and friends.

“At this most difficult of times we would ask that people respect our privacy and allow us to grieve the loss of such a special person. Peter put a smile on everyone’s face and walked his own path in life. We will all miss him dearly.”

Anyone who witnessed the collision should call police on 101 quoting incident 265 of 26 November.
