Incident Number: 255 of 2 February

Officers in the Forest of Dean are appealing for witnesses after a driver failed to stop at the scene of a collision on Friday (2 Feb).

The incident took place on High Nash in Coleford at around 1.45pm and involved a red Renault and a blue Ford Fiesta.

The victim's Renault was parked up when one of the passengers attempted to open their car door and it's thought that the Ford was approaching at speed.

The passenger attempted to shut the car door but the nearside wing mirror of the Fiesta hit the rear nearside passenger door of the Renault before carrying on.

Parts of the Fiesta's damaged wing mirror were left at the scene.

The Fiesta was later seen in the area heading towards High Nash and Old Station Way.

Witnesses are asked to call the police on 101 or email 101@gloucestershire.police.uk quoting incident 255 of 2 February.
