Gloucestershire Police were called just after 9am today following reports of a collision between a cyclist and a stationary vehicle.

The incident happened on the B4060 at Stancombe, Dursley where a 40 year old male cyclist, travelling towards North Nibley, hit the rear of a stationary Western Power Distribution van.

The man who sustained various fractures was taken by ambulance to Southmead Hospital, Bristol.   His condition, although serious, is not life threatening.

The road was closed while emergency services were at the scene.

Police would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision who has not already spoken to the police to please get in touch. Call 101 quoting incident number 90 of 18 October 2017.
